Back finisher 🔥 if you want to mix your back workouts up then give this a try at the end of your workout 💯 First part of the set is underhand barbel row to work those lower lats and mid to lower back for 8 to 10 reps then go straight in to a quarter deadlift to fully fatigue your back for 8 to 10 again This is a great way of building your back and grip strength up or if your struggling to hit your reps because of your grip going then work with grips to help with getting that full range of motion in. Working on your weak points and ways of turning them in to your stronger points To start with It is know good just cracking out reps on reps if you aren’t feeling the muscle working you are supposed to be you have to find ways of stimulating the muscle through different techniques until you hit the spot with it and then in turn that will help you grow and get stronger in these areas For me I’ve struggled with hamstring injuries so I always try to work them in different ways sometimes you have to just start back to scratch on certain movements to make sure you are feeling it working and sometimes you have to throw some variations in to it and this is why I feel this really works the hamstrings and you can’t go wrong with the RDLs because I feel you get a deeper stretch by doing them and the strength you can build up through your hamstrings through these will carry over on to your deadlifts and any pulling movements by having stronger hamstrings and glutes right up your posterior chain. Arm superset 🎥 💪taken from yesterday’s workout 1️⃣Exercise ➡️Modified JM press ➡️Great all round tricep builder you can also look to load this excise up so its a great way of shifting heavier loads for your triceps try to tuck your elbows inwards before you start the eccentric start of the rep and keep them looked in so they don’t flare outwards. 2️⃣Exercise ➡️EZ bar curls ➡️Great bicep builder and an easier option on your wrists over a barbell curl so you can also load this movements and aim to shift heavier loads for your biceps. Great bar to change your grips on to target different parts or your bicep and also by using a reverse grip. Lat focused back workout 🦅4 movements that I have been using to help improve my lats • • ✳️Low Row ➡️I am using a single arm grip to help work each side individual instead of having a stronger side taking over by doing this you can work your weaker side first and put more work in to it if you have a side that is lagging behind. • ✳️DB Pullover ➡️Bit of a two in one as you work your lats and your chest 🔥aim to get as much stretch as you can on the eccentric to really get those lats burning! • ✳️Bar Pulldown ➡️You have throw some of these in to every workout even as a warm up they are a great movement to get your lats fires up. You know when you hear people say " listen to your body"....do you ever think to yourself - what does that even mean or how do I do that? . I've found in working with my clients and in my own life that listening to your body takes practice. It can be hard to differentiate between what your mind is telling you vs what your body is. . Today is a perfect example. I wasnt having the best day. My morning was a mess, I was lathargic, I had a " not so amazing" time at one of my doctors appointments and my IBS was so flarred up I could barely walk...and trust me being pregnant and having that happen is like being hit by a train physically....so naturally working out was the last thing on my mind. . But there was this feeling, a feeling I've gotten to know over time. Some days it's loud and others a little quieter but nonetheless it was a feeling I was familiar with. I wasn't 100% sure if going to @ridecycleclub tonight was the best idea considering my tummy but I thought, let's try because it's better than sitting on the couch right now. Did I feel better, absolutely. 100% better, nope, but definitely better 🙏 . My point is, learning to listen to your body takes patience, a little intuition, time and more importantly, practice. So the next time you find yourself in that position close your eyes, relax and ask yourself what you're feeling and what you need in that moment. Ok...I’m gonna be honest with you here, Anyone modeling #healthy behavior 100% of the time is lying.🤣 I eat treats sometimes. I sometimes don't get enough sleep. My water intake stinks sometimes. I sometimes miss a #workout or two. Guess what? I am real. Just say "Heck NO!" to diets! I used to be a chronic dieter and closet binge-eater. I wanted so desperately to be skinny but I would stuff my face with with junk food all while feeling an immense amount of guilt. I went through a horrible divorce 7 years ago and it got even worse. I found myself plagued by anxiousness and eating thousands of calories late at night or when no one was home. I felt like CRAP on the daily. Not exactly the mom I wanted to be. Today... I eat to fuel my body. I workout because I love my body, not because I hate it. I AM HAPPY AND CONFIDENT. I don't diet. I don’t have the the anxiousness and crazy cravings that I used to have and It’s the best feeling in the world to finally have control over food. I have learned so much over the last 4 years about gut health and it is my goal to share this gift with as many people as I can. Because that’s what it is. How many know what #pcos is?! It affects more than 200,000 women each year. 😳 This is from a fellow ambassador... I love how she shares her vulnerable story with so many others who are struggling. —— “No matter how clean you eat or how much you workout, it’s almost impossible to lose weight. This hormonal disorder is not something you get to choose to have or not to have. It’s ugly, it’s painful, it’s exhausting, and it can be emotionally draining. Working out 2 hours a day, eating clean 80% of the time and still not being able to #loseweight; that’s detrimental. Training for my bikini competition a few years ago was not easy. I was training in the gym 3-4 hours a day for weeks on end, having to cut almost everything out of my diet just to see the slightest changes. It was always hard for me to understand why other girls were able to eat more carbs during prep and #workout less than me and see results 10 times faster. I now understand why. My body was literally fighting against me.😭 The only thing that has changed between these pictures are the plant based #supplements that I have been taking. My #diet hasn’t changed, and neither have my workouts.
