Med tanke på senaste dagarnas debatter om våra ungdomar och elever, hur vi borde ta i med hårdare tag och faktiskt bringa lite ordning så skulle jag vilja vända på det hela. Är det någon som är intresserande av barnens egna röst och behov? Tänk om det är så att barn faktisk vill och ÄR kompetenta om de får chansen? Men har vi ens tid att ge de denna chans idag bland alla våra egna idéer om dem och hur de borde vara för att passa oss, våra system och samhället? Vart kommer barnen in? När vi tycker att barn är för jobbiga så är jag övertygad om att barnet själv har det för jobbigt. Men istället för att se vilka behov som inte är tillgodosedda eller vad som lett barnet hit, så skrapar vi vuxna på utan, jagar quick fix och snarare reagerar än medvetet agerar. Jag önskar att vi vuxna istället för att rusta oss med flera pekpinnar och snabbare löparskor snarare började ta fram speglar. Här kan vi istället stanna upp och titta på oss själva. För varenda möte med ett barn börjar med mötet i dig själv. Så försvinn inte in i en värld där inte barnen får plats. I en värld fylld av rädslor, krav, stress och jakt. Detta är inte livet. Detta är ett slags påhittat drama vi själva skapat och står för. Och kanske är det just detta våra barn ger uttryck för just nu? Att de vill visa oss vad livet egentligen handlar om men som vi glömt bort på vägen. Good morning! Today it is day 3 of our #fallingALOverAGAIN challenge and for today Holly presents us a #forearmbalance! The first couple of times I did this pose I thought is was never going to work. It just hurted a lot! Check out my face if you scroll to the second image. After practicing a few times and being convinced that I needed to lose one arm for this pose I found out that if you bring your weight way more forward ...... it works without breaking an arm!!! It just always is a challenge to find a balance between alignment and stretch as you can easily get lost in an external rotation of the leg that rises and colapse into the shoulders en let the ribs pop out. Do you practice Pranayama? Every Yoga class i teach start with a breathing exercise, Pranayama. It is a tool for us to connect to the body and to connect with our energy. When we practice Pranayama, we can feel how the vital energy is flowing through our bodies and we can experience a surge of vitality and rest. Combining breath control and Asanas are vital to the Yoga practice and we achieve higher levels of awareness through the breathing. Some breathing techniques help us create more heat and vibration within the body, while others help us to relax.
