What I realized, though, is that we give “before” photos such a negative connotation when really every “before” photo is actually an “after” photo from some other part of my life.             Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken thighs were buy one get one free at my grocery store today so I wanted a quick meal to cook to take advantage of the sale. This one comes together super quick especially if you use jarred sauce @themealprepmanual⁣⁣⁣⁣

INGREDIENTS. Makes 5⁣⁣⁣
2lbs (908g) chicken thighs ⁣⁣⁣⁣
16oz (454g) frozen broccoli ⁣⁣⁣⁣
6oz (170g) frozen peas⁣⁣⁣⁣
8oz (227g) shredded carrots⁣⁣⁣⁣
1.25 cups (313g) tikka masala sauce (I bought store brand sauce in a jar. It’s just way easier)⁣⁣⁣⁣
2.5 cups (625g) cooked rice ⁣⁣⁣⁣
1 tbsp (15g) olive oil⁣⁣⁣⁣
Cilantro ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
PREPARATION ⁣⁣⁣⁣
1. Cook enough rice to have 2.5 cups worth. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
2. Heat 1/2 tbsp of oil in a cast iron grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken. Cut into 1 inch pieces. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
3. In a skillet, heat 1/2 tbsp of oil over medium heat and add the peas and carrots. Cook for a few minutes. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
4. Add the chicken and sauce. Stir to incorporate. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
5. Cook the broccoli in the microwave. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
6. Divide your ingredients evenly between 5 containers. Put 1/2 cup of rice in each dish. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

            Glasses are now adjusted! 🤓 This weightloss journey is GREAT! Not only do numbers change but also physical features do as well. For me, it’s my face! My glasses were sliding off my face so bad I had to go get them tightened to my face ASAP. Due to the fact, my glasses can only get but so tight, they still slide alittle but not like before! It has gotten chillllly here in NYC ❄️ and my favorite way to start the day is with a warm bowl of oatmeal. 🥣Oats, especially ones like steel cut or old fashioned provide an amazing source of fiber, as well as a host of other nutrients. Oatmeal keeps my blood sugars and energy levels balanced all morning so I can get to work and focus on what really matters, and not my hanger! 💁‍♀️

Now, because oatmeal is often talked about as being this “health” food and walks around with a halo around it’s bowl, many people often mistakenly believe that in order for it to stay healthy and “good” it must need to be plain and lacking in flavor. 🤦‍♀️While I have to agree, and point out to many of my clients, that a packet of pre-flavored, apple cinnamon-maple syrup-rainbow sprinkle (it seems they make EVERY flavor now!) instant oats on its own  might not be the most nutritious choice. BUT there are plenty of ways to make oatmeal at home that are still TASTY AF and prioritize nutrition without being obsessive about wellness and diet culture! I believe that prioritizing your health and eating well should include ENJOYING your food by eating flavors that make you happy!

Looking for ways to transform your oatmeal bowl? My current fave is these chocolately steel cut oats...
- Boil 4 cups of water and add 1 cup of steel cut oats, stir frequently until oats are cooked- they should be still somewhat chewy, but also creamy.
- Stir in 2 scoops of your favorite collagen peptides and 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Top with sliced banana and your favorite nut butter for sweetness. Dust with hemp seeds and dig in! (this recipe makes ~4 servings and reheats beautifully)

            Wachtelbohnen Eintopf (türk.:Barbunya) (Zubereitung im Schnellkochtopf)
Zutaten: 500 g Wachtelbohnen (Barbunya), 1 Zwiebel 🧅, 1 Knoblauchzehe 🧄, 2 EL Tomatenmark🍅, 1 1/2 EL Olivenöl, Salz 🧂 und Pfeffer

Zubereitung: 1. Wachtelbohnen über Nacht in 1 1/2 Liter kaltem Wasser einweichen. 2. Nach der Einweichzeit das Wasser abgießen und die Bohnen unter kaltem Wasser abspülen. 3. Bohnen mit reichlich Wasser, so dass die Bohnen zugedeckt sind, 10-15 Min. bei mittlerer Hitze köcheln lassen. 4. Die Flüssigkeit abgießen und wieder mit kaltem Wasser abspülen. 5. Öl im Schnellkochtopf erhitzen. Zwiebel 🧅 (geschält und gewürfelt) und zerdrückte Knoblauchzehe🧄 andünsten. 🍅 Tomatenmark und Wachtelbohnen dazu geben und gut verrühren. 6. Salz 🧂 und Pfeffer würzen. 7. Mit 1 1/2 Liter Wasser aufgießen und 25-30 Min. bei mittlerer Hitze kochen. Fertig!

Mit frisch gehackter Petersilie servieren.

Just a friendly reminder that it’s okay to eat NORMAL on Turkey Day- have some breakfast, and then some lunch or snacks before the evening meal. Your body will THANK you!

Operating like the left side, which I’ll admit I used to partake in, TAKES AWAY more than ADDS to your holiday enjoyment. That sad piece of toast (or perhaps it’s no food at all) is likely not enough satisfying nutrition for most, and you may spend the whole day in “will power” mode, saying no to every taste offered until you can finally stuff yourself at the main event.

Instead, why not choose to spend the holiday morning making a nice breakfast, and enjoying it with your gathered loved ones 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A balanced breakfast ⚖️ can help regulate your metabolism and blood sugars for the day, keep you more in tune with your physical hunger signals 🙋‍♀️before and during dinner, and allows your mental energy 🧠 to focus on what really matters (family time, slowing down, self-care) as opposed to thinking “I’ve gotta earn my meal tonight” all day.

Den Anfang macht ein kohlenhydratreduzierter und mega eiweißhaltiger Mini-Quarkstollen. Der ist so sättigend... eine wirklich ideale Alternativ zu dem bekannten Teil👌🏻. Tipp: Dank der Nährwerte, auch ein optimales Postworkoutmeal👍🏻. . Zutaten: 🔹Nährwerte komplett: 666 kcal🔹 🔸F 16g, KH 38g, P 86g🔸 . •Teig: 🍰1 Ei 🍰150g Magerquark 🍰50g teilentöltes Mandelmehl 🍰50g TOTAL Protein "Zimt-Zucker Cookie" von @morenutrition.de (10% Rabatt mit: Jessifit10) 🍰25g getrocknete Cranberries (alternativ Rosinen) 🍰1 TL Stollengewürz 🍰etwas Zitronenabrieb (o. Zitronenaroma) 🍰paar Tropfen Rumaroma 🍰5g Backpulver 🍰Süße nach Wahl (hatte 50g Erythrit + „Keks“ Flavedrops) . ➡️1. Alle feuchten Zutaten miteinander verrühren.             It has been a crazy week!! I can’t believe I had a baby 8 days ago! I feel AMAZING. I enjoyed being pregnant but I love having my body back and being able to move around again. I’ve been eating pretty well since Mareks delivery and living off oatmeal in the morning. Although oats are a myth to a better milk supply, my milk supply has been phenomenal and it’s been special to be the primary source of food for my son. Happy Saturday everyone ❤️

I know that happy hours, weekend food that’s not your norm, and going out to eat causes stress for a lot of you. You feel that once you start eating “bad” food (p.s. there’s no such thing- food is just food) you should just toss your hands up and be bad all weekend long. This “what the hell” mentality is a tough one to get over, but I promise weekend food doesn’t have to be so stressful!

The mindset behind our food choices is SO important and helps keep all foods on an even playing field. 🥕🍕⚖️ If you make room for all foods in your diet, then you’re never going to fall off a plan and feel as though you’ve failed. If you start to connect how foods make you physically feel, you can become empowered to choose foods based on how you FEEL.

With practice your body WILL speak up and tell you it doesn’t want to toss in the towel the next day, but a nice walk and some veggies will do just fine. Plus there’s always pizza next week or for Thursday night too 😉

            Actually really happy with this! As I said the other day I'm kind of off plan/on plan at the mo as I'm just generally enjoying the run up to Christmas. My little mini goal is to get my half a pound off by Christmas which hopefully will be super achievable. Glad I've managed to find that balance of enjoying myself but not going overboard. 🍝Quick classic meal for dinner! Which was needed after doing the weekly shop (should have done it at the weekend🤦‍♀️). To make this I fried 5% fat mince in @frylighthq. Once cooked I added a tin of chopped tomatoes, a tub of passata and a @jdseasonings bolognese pot which makes it super flavoursome! I also use this for when I make my lasagne too. .
🧀Garlic bread was made with @scharglutenfreeuk ciabatta roll. I halved the roll, spread on some garlic paste and topped with cheese and mixed herbs. Then under the grill for 5 minutes. As seen on this babes insta - @beingbrittany. I decided to top mine with parmesan cheese (30g as hexa) just cause it was convenient but you can use any cheese really. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quinoa salad !! Lunch box today !! When we are not eating 4 types of fish we are probably eating quinoa 😂 But we are back to our fish right in the next meal though 😆 My husband prefers light lunch boxes (in short not roti sabji 🙊🤫) And for me also it is easier to put together in the morning rush so win win for all. And I love quinoa .. I love how simple it is to cook.. And so very nutritious .. besides I can have quinoa just like that too. So this lunch box had Quinoa chickpea salad Carrots and beans (steamed and roasted) Boiled eggs Ghee roasted makhana for munching 😁 For the quinoa salad 1 cup cooked quinoa 1/4 cup boiled chickpeas Chopped cucumber, onion, tomato, coriander Salt and pepper and a little lemon juice Mix everything .. that&#039;s how simple it is.
