Working on your weak points and ways of turning them in to your stronger points To start with It is know good just cracking out reps on reps if you aren’t feeling the muscle working you are supposed to be you have to find ways of stimulating the muscle through different techniques until you hit the spot with it and then in turn that will help you grow and get stronger in these areas For me I’ve struggled with hamstring injuries so I always try to work them in different ways sometimes you have to just start back to scratch on certain movements to make sure you are feeling it working and sometimes you have to throw some variations in to it and this is why I feel this really works the hamstrings and you can’t go wrong with the RDLs because I feel you get a deeper stretch by doing them and the strength you can build up through your hamstrings through these will carry over on to your deadlifts and any pulling movements by having stronger hamstrings and glutes right up your posterior chain. Arm superset 🎥 💪taken from yesterday’s workout 1️⃣Exercise ➡️Modified JM press ➡️Great all round tricep builder you can also look to load this excise up so its a great way of shifting heavier loads for your triceps try to tuck your elbows inwards before you start the eccentric start of the rep and keep them looked in so they don’t flare outwards. 2️⃣Exercise ➡️EZ bar curls ➡️Great bicep builder and an easier option on your wrists over a barbell curl so you can also load this movements and aim to shift heavier loads for your biceps. Great bar to change your grips on to target different parts or your bicep and also by using a reverse grip. Lat focused back workout 🦅4 movements that I have been using to help improve my lats • • ✳️Low Row ➡️I am using a single arm grip to help work each side individual instead of having a stronger side taking over by doing this you can work your weaker side first and put more work in to it if you have a side that is lagging behind. • ✳️DB Pullover ➡️Bit of a two in one as you work your lats and your chest 🔥aim to get as much stretch as you can on the eccentric to really get those lats burning! • ✳️Bar Pulldown ➡️You have throw some of these in to every workout even as a warm up they are a great movement to get your lats fires up. One of the best chest movements 🔥👌 • • Over the last month or so I have swapped to DB flat bench over barbell as I feel you get more from doing this movement as you can achieve better range of motion and also by not being in a fixed position with your grip like you are with a barbell it can help you if you have any wrist issues or even shoulder problems as it will take you out of being in that fixed grip like you are with barbells and also by fixing any weak sides you may have when pressing when using a barbell sometimes your stronger side will take over and by continually doing that you will have one side that is a lot stronger than the other. • • My current go to for reps and sets is working up to two heavy sets of anywhere from 6 to 10 then dropping the weight by around 10kg from my heavy set and then going for max reps to get that little bit more volume so then you are hitting the best of both worlds with rep ranges. These are my 3 go to back movements at the moment 🎥🚣‍♀️ • • 🎥 1️⃣Snatch grip RDLs 2️⃣DB single arm row 3️⃣Rack pulls (below knee) • • I try and have at least 2 pull sessions per week with one of those thrown in with legs where I will tend to use the snatch grip RDL as you will use a lot of hamstring and glutes during this so it works really well throwing it in with leg days. • My first pull session of the week I will try to focus on a lot more rowing variations and I will use the rack pull to start with on these days as I find it a great overall back builder and I’m trying to bring up my lower back more so I find these ideal to start on to hit your weaker points at the start of your sessions and sometimes will superset these with pull-ups for my warm up sets to fully warm the back up. • If you aren’t using some form of a DB row in your back workouts then you are missing out!
