Pre order a screen protector for a phone that doesn't exist... Yet! Skinomi have live Amazon product pages with a verity screen protectors for the pixel 4 and 4 XL. These pages have clear pictures of what is said to be the pixel 4 showing some interesting features which fans will be pleased to see. The Pixel 4 in this leak is seen to have thin bezels, like the iPhone X, with a slightly bigger bottom bezel compared to the sides and top. However, the top and bottom bezel are still big enough to fit the front firing speakers as with the pixel 2 and 3 which people loved. One fear, that came about through another rumour, was that the phone wouldn't have any physical buttons however, as seen in the picture there is a power button but no volume buttons on the side. Could they be on the back in an LG style? And of course, the most obvious point about this phone that takes away the need for a bezel or notch. The hole punch dual camera cutout. This seems to be the new way forward in maximising screen space as it was first seem on the Samsung S10 and rightly so as it's a much better look that the previous pixel 2 XL notch. The dual front camera layout is almost guaranteed and hopefully so as this will continue to keep the pixels competitive in the photography space. Remembering that this is only the standard phone not the XL as the XL didn't have placeholders of a handset on the product page. The release date for these screen protectors is 20th November which is about a month after the expected launch of the phone. And is likely to be around the same price as the previous generations of about £730($800) for the standard and about £900($1000) for the XL. #tech #technology #google #pixel #pixel4 #android #smartphone #phone #photographer #leak Thursday - 30/05/19 - 16:45

EE is the first network to launch 5G in the UK, and it's currently your only option, with Vodafone next in line with a July launch planned. You will need a new 5G phone and 5G contract to take advantage of it, and live in one of the six cities that have the connection. Today EE has launched 5G in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Birmingham and Manchester, but the network has committed to rolling out 5G to 10 more cities before the end of the year. EE has four 5G smartphones for you to choose from. The cheapest is the Oppo Reno 5G, the priciest are the Samsung galaxy S10 5G and LG V50 ThinQ 5G, while the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G sits in the middle of the group. Previously, EE confirmed that it would stock the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G as well, however it has since been temporarily pulled from the line-updue to the Huawei ban. #5g #technology #tech #uk #london #EE #smartphone #phone #samsung #huawei Thursday - 30/05/19 - 17:51

AMD has taken over Computex by showing off its Ryzen 3rd Generation and Epyc processors not to mention Navi graphics cards. The main point on everyones mind is that these products are going to cause even more trouble for Intel. AMD’s Ryzen chips have already gone from strength to strength of late, and have capitalized on Intel’s manufacturing woes, and although the earlier production issues should be resolved soon. Intel has mentioned that everything should be smoothed over by the third quarter. However, analysts still believe AMD currently holds all the processor cards with its incoming 7nm (Zen 2) CPUs. Tesla has started taking preorders of Model 3 cars produced at its new Gigafactory in Shanghai, China. Bloomberg reports that the cars, which are available to order exclusively in China, will have a base price of 328,000 yuan ($47,510), 13 percent cheaper than the model imported from the US for a price 377,000 yuan ($54,616). The Model 3s being produced in China are the Standard Plus versions of the vehicle with a range of 460km (286 miles). Tesla says that it expects to start making deliveries from the Shanghai factory in the next six to 10 months. #tech #technology #cars #tesla #China #chinese #mechanic #elonmusk #shanghai #fastcars Friday - 31/05/19 - 15:04

Intel is firing back at AMD CEO Lisa Su's Computex claims that the company's upcoming 7nm EPYC Rome data center processors are twice as fast as Intel's Xeon Scalable 8280 processors in a popular benchmark. But Intel says that AMD didn't configure its Intel test system correctly, and also didn't use the most relevant processors for comparison testing. Now Team Blue has released benchmarks to back its claims. It might seem a bit odd to quibble over one single benchmark, but there's a lot at stake. Intel made $34 billion last year from its data-centric businesses, which also includes storage, memory, and networking products, all of which benefit from Intel's commanding share of the data center processor market. In fact, Intel's data center sales now account for roughly 50% of the company's total revenue. AMD's dual-socket server has 128 cores and 256 threads, so it isn't entirely surprising to see that much firepower beat Intel's competing 56-core 112-thread dual-socket server. But core counts, while important, aren't the end-all, be-all. All cores are not created equal, and Intel says that after it applied the correct optimizations to its system, it scored 30% higher than the results presented by AMD (below). That doesn't give Intel's Xeon 8280 the lead, but shows the chips are more competitive with the correct optimizations. #tech #technology #computer #intel #amd #computerscience #computex #computex2019 #cpu #computerhardware Friday - 31/05/19 - 21:58

The latest new feature to be undergoing testing at Spotify would seem to be shared queues – tracks of upcoming tunes that you can listen to and edit together with friends. The "Social Listening" option builds on the shared playlists Spotify already has – but in this case you and a group of other users can chop and change a queue as it plays on a particular device. Social Listening works through a code that shows up in the Spotify app – friends can scan this code on their own phones to get involved, or you can share it via the usual channels. Obvious uses for this include house parties and road trips, where you can introduce your friends to your favorite mumbling indie rock folk, high speed free-form jazz improvs, or whatever else you happen to be into. #tech #technology #Spotify #spotifyplaylist #spotifypremium #music #musically #trending #audio #leak Sunday - 02/06/19 - 08:52

As noticed by a few users, the iTunes Instagram account has had all its content deleted – in addition the iTunes Twitter account hasn't been updated in nearly a week as of writing, and all posts on iTunes' Facebook page have also been removed. We've heard Apple is planning to replace iTunes with Apple Music, and presumably iTunes' other content would be moved to Apple's other platforms, such as Apple TV Plus. Shutting iTunes' social media accounts would make sure consumers only followed the accounts of iTunes' newer apps, so Apple's steps to do so suggest we could hear news of iTunes' closure in the next few days. The iTunes Twitter and Instagram accounts already point towards the Apple TV accounts, so this move could already be in motion. #tech #technology #itunes #apple #shotoniphone #applemusic #appletv #music #ios12 #ios13 Sunday - 02/06/19 - 22:08

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed new details about the electric car company’s long-awaited Roadster. He claimed that the “SpaceX package” — essentially strapping rocket engine thrusters to the car to make it go really, really fast — could give the Roadster a staggering three Gs of thrust. In a later tweet, he added “will use a SpaceX cold gas thruster system with ultra high pressure air in a composite over-wrapped pressure vessel in place of the 2 rear seats.” The scary thing is this is Elon Musk... He's sold flamethrowers, he started a rocket company and he's digging miles of tunnels under one of the busiest cities in the world... He might literally unveiled a car with a rocket sticking out the back. Do you reckon it will be road legal? #tech #technology #tesla #elonmusk #spacex #teslaroadster #cars #supercars #inspirationalquotes #theboringcompany Monday - 03/06/19 - 21:40

Rumor has it that Nvidia is going to reveal three new spins on its GeForce RTX graphics cards which could be juiced up in terms of clock speeds and have faster GDDR6 memory. This is the rumored ‘Super’ announcement Nvidia teased in May, pointing to some kind of big product launch, which as we recently reportedseems likely to be refreshed versions of its RTX graphics cards to theoretically combat AMD’s imminent new Navi GPUs. #tech #technology #nvidia #graphics #GraphicsCard #amd #rtx #rtx2080ti #computer #computerhardware Monday - 03/06/19 - 17:53

Spinning hard drives are considered dated by most standards but advances are still being made to push the boundaries of capacity to new heights. Seagate’s new 16TB drives are a perfect example of this. The data storage company, Seagate, on Tuesday said it has been actively shipping its Exos X16 HDD, a 3.5-inch 7200 RPM drive designed specifically for enterprise applications. Both IronWolf models boast 256MB of cache and utilize the SATA 6Gb/s interface. Seagate’s Exos X16 16TB HDD carries an MSRP of $629 and is available to purchase from today. IronWolf and IronWolf Pro drives are also in stock and shipping from Connection for $590.80 and $650.58, respectively. #tech #technology #seagate #computer #computerhardware #computerbuild #intel #amd #NextGen #hdd Wednesday - 05/06/19 - 23:43

On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Adolf Hitler’s crack troops. #tech #technology #dday #normandy #ww2 #wewillrememberthem #rememberance #uk #Germany #usa Thursday - 06/06/19 - 22:04

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is shown to have a hole-punch front camera, large 6.75-inch QHD+ display and a quad-camera setup, as well as slim curved screen design. The other big takeaway from the video is that the phone does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. The most current rumoured specs for the Galaxy Note 10 state it will have a HDR 10+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with 1,440 x 2,040 resolution, Snapdragon 855 processor (or Exynos 9820 depending on region), 12GB of RAM, a 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities, and UFS3.0 storage. In short, it will be a true powerhouse. It has also been confirmed that the Note 10 will be 5G, or rather that there will be a separate 5G model available at launch, meaning that it will have the potential to take on the best 5G phoneson the market and tap into super-fast new 5G networks. #tech #technology #trending #samsung #samsungs10 #samsunggalaxys10 #phone #smartphone #5g #android Saturday - 08/06/19 - 22:39

KLM have revealed plans for a new plane to enter their fleet called the 'Flying-V' plane, a v-shaped aircraft designed to be more sustainable. The new plane will also use 20 per cent less fuel compared to the Airbus A350 thanks to the aerodynamic and lighter design. It would be able to fit a similar number of passengers in it to their current aircraft, with 314 passengers across the two wings within the distinctive v-shape cabin. Two turbofan engines, one in each wing, would help keep fuel costs down as the 180 foot (55m) plane takes flight and has the same wingspan of the A350. The designs were released as part of KLM's 100th anniversary celebrations with plans to reveal what the interior would be like later this year. #tech #technology #flight #pilot #pilotlife #future #airliners #klm #plane #planespotting Saturday - 08/06/19 - 23:20 - BST

NASA will allow private citizens to stay at the International Space Station (ISS) for month-long getaways at a cost of about $35,000 (roughly Rs. 24,30,000) per night, the U.S. space agency said on Friday. The shift reverses a long-standing prohibition against tourists and private interests at the orbiting research lab, and reflects a broader push to expand commercial activities at the ISS and in space more generally. It paves the way for private citizens to travel to the ISS aboard rocket-and-capsule launch systems being developed by Boeing and Elon Musk's SpaceX. The two companies are set to ferry astronauts to the ISS from US soil for the first time in nearly a decade. #tech #technology #tesla #spacex #space #nasa #spacestation #holiday #vacation #spaceship Sunday - 09/06/19 - 23:08 - BST

Gatik AI, an autonomous vehicle startup that came out of stealth Thursday with $4.5 million in funding and Walmart as a customer, is aiming for the sweet middle spot in the world of logistics. The company, which operates out of Palo Alto and Toronto, isn’t deploying autonomous delivery bots built for sidewalks, nor is it aiming for self-driving trucks, or even robotaxis to shuttle around people. Instead, the founders of Gatik AI are developing a business that will do short hauls of goods between businesses using autonomous light-commercial trucks and vans. The Ford transit vehicles outfitted with Gatik’s self-driving system will drive up to 200 miles a day and stay within a city environment, co-founder and CEO Gautam Narang told TechCrunch. He believes the company can close the gap in the market through a variety of use cases, including partnering with third-party logistics giants like Amazon, FedEx or even the U.S. Postal Service, auto part distributors, consumer goods, food and beverage distributors as well as medical and pharmaceutical companies. The strategy has attracted a number of investors and at least one major partner: Walmart . Gatik AI has raised $4.5 million in a seed round led by former CEO and executive chairman of Google Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors. Other investors include AngelPad, Dynamo Fund, Fontinalis Partners, Trucks Venture Capital and angel Lior Ron, who heads Uber Freight. #tech #technology #selfdriving #tesla #walmart #elonmusk #cars #future #NextGen #usa Monday - 10/06/19 - 16:52 - BST

The new Project Scarlett console will support 8K gaming, framerates of up to 120fps in games, ray-tracing, and variable refresh rate support. Microsoft is also using an SSD on Project Scarlett. “We’ve created a new generation of SSDs. We’re using the SSD as virtual RAM,” says an Xbox spokesperson in an unveiling video. This should boost performance by 40x over the current generation according to Microsoft, and that will mean games load a lot faster. Microsoft is including a custom designed CPU based on AMD’s Zen 2 and Radeon RDNA architecture, and it’s promising this new console will be four times more powerful than the Xbox One X. Microsoft is also using fast GDDR6 RAM, that it claims will “usher in resolution and framerates we’ve never seen before.” #tech #technology #xbox #microsoft #E3 #gaming #consolegamer #amd #pcgaming #pcmasterrace Tuesday - 11/06/19 - 16:10 - BST
