Bought this box of a girl’s treasured photos on Saturday on the strength of some strong images and Shirley Temple cards... Klene were a Dutch company that issued these cards with gum in 1935. They are sought-after by collectors. #klenecards #shirleytemple

John Jaques & Sons ‘The Counties of England’ series 3: Eastern Counties c1930s. A ‘round’ game similar to Happy Families, there were three series covering different parts of England. The game was first produced in the 1860s and was published well into the 20th century. There are 47 cards in this deck - still unsure if any are missing... £3 #sheppertoncarbootsale

Bless this little guy. Little Voice is very unwell and may not last the weekend. He’s off to the vet but I suspect kidney failure. If so at 11 years old he won’t bounce back. So we’re doing our teary farewells now. He really is a sweetheart- super gentle. #onelesscatofinstagram #catsofinstagram

Hayling Island, Sweare Deep

Hayling Island, Nothney Marina. View across Sweare Deep towards Fowley Island

A burst of blood-red apples on a blustery beach

No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own Or of thine friend's were. Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.

Contemplitude

Autumnal morning at a harbour mouth facing due east. Bench is in loving memory of Lesley Watts 1953-2011.

A great day for it!

Chichester Cross, 1501

Wonderful chance encounter with Dr. Peter Moseley, an incredible printmaker and a super-lovely man. He offered me a chance to do some quick-and-dirty photogravure and serendipitously one of the available plates was a mackerel tabby. Little Voice reaches out from The Shades. I think I will do a workshop with Dr. Moseley. His work is fascinating and I’m hooked....

An Arundel Tomb - Richard Fitzalan III, 13th Earl of Arundel and his 2nd wife Eleanor, 1375. The lady’s crossed legs and the clasped hands are unusual.
