Enjoying what could be the last good day of the year!

Sick day with the Speedy back on shell cordovan

Starting to understand the appeal of AP... #newwatchalert

Finally found a bracelet for my Speedmaster, and it arrived just in time for #speedytuesday.

Is it safe to post Speedmasters again?

I accompanied my mother to our Rolex AD today just for her to try on some Oyster Perpetuals, and she ended up walking out with a Yachtmaster at the end of the day! Feeling pretty proud and accomplished for talking her into this watch (and watches in general). Thank you @grunosdiamonds for the great service!

Pulling one out of the archives tonight. The Octa is a watch that I started out pretty neutral on, but it’s really grown on me since I first saw it.

Starting off the Fourth of July with my (unsurprising) Speedy, Fujifilm, and Irish coffee. Happy Independence Day!

It’s too hot for leather straps

Officially celebrating my one year anniversary with my Speedy on Speedy Tuesday of all days. The FOIS is still one of my favorite watches ever. That said, I’ve discovered I’m not really a one watch kind of guy.

Ready for the night!

A new strap calls for a new post. This time it’s a bespoke shell cordovan strap from @watchstrapheaven. It’s easily the best strap I’ve ever put on one of my watches, and one of the best I’ve ever handled. I highly recommend getting one for yourself.

An old picture of my old Seamaster, my first big step in horology.

It doesn’t have to be a Tuesday to wear a Speedy

Sometimes you’re lucky enough to find one watch that’s perfect for you and you never want to sell. I wonder what the next keeper will be for me.

It’s outwardly simple, but I think there’s enough configurations for almost everyone.

I actually end up using this watch a fair bit for cooking. It’s definitely one of my favorite egg timers.

This watch is a 14k yellow gold Orfina dress watch made some time around the 1940s. It came into my family (likely) sometime in the 1960s. It went through nearly 20 years of sitting in a trunk before it was found a couple years ago. It isn’t near the condition it was in when it left the factory all those years ago, nor is it really horologically significant, but it’s now a working and wearable piece of immense sentimental value to me.

This is the Speedmaster that succeeded where no modern Speedmaster has succeeded before: making me actually want to own it.

Everyone seems to be taking this picture, so I thought I might give it a shot. (I was incredibly worried about it falling off the tree the whole time)

Speedmaster on ice!

Merry Christmas and Speedy Tuesday!

Happy 2019!

Sad that my Speedy is at service upon hearing that @omega is bringing back the caliber 321.

One year ago today I went to an F.P. Journe boutique for the first time. It was an incredible experience that changed my outlook on both horology and the watch industry.

It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call...The Numbered Edition.
