“There is an endearing tenderness in the love of a mother to a son that transcends all other affections of the heart.” -Washington Irving #NationalSonsDay

I woke up to some sweet YL news today- actually the sweetest deal I’ve seen this whole year! 🎉 . Young Living is offering free shipping ($10.99+) for anyone who purchases a Premium Starter Kit this month AND I am personally offering $25 back via Venmo or Amazong AAAANNNNND one person who buys a kit this month will also get a $20 voucher to apply toward the purchase of the kit from YL! 💰 I bought my kit one year ago this month, which was at the perfect time because we were entering cold and flu season, I was close to having a baby, and it is the season where I would buy all the fall candles. Essential oils helped or took the place of all those things ✅ I also use them for sleep, skin, moods and feelings, my kids, cleaning, diet and exercise...all the things 😴👧🏼🧘🏽‍♀️🌸🌱 So if you’ve been considering getting a kit, now is honestly the absolute best time I’ve seen since becoming a member one year ago. Plus, this is the time of year YL rolls out the best holiday products, bundles, and promotional items (like essential oil-filled advent calendar, promo/“free” 15 ml Frankincense bottles, etc.) . Who wants in? 🙋🏼‍♀️

“Soak em up,” they say. “They grow up so fast,” they say. Please excuse me while I go cry in the corner 😭

“Walk to School” day should be everyday 🏃🏻‍♀️ . I got 5,000 steps in before 8:00. We played basketball, tag, and I took an exorbitant amount of pictures (these are just the tip of the iceberg, baby!) 📸 . It’s wild how much just getting out in the open air under the sun does for my mood 🌞 I think today is going to be a really good day!

The day we bring up the Halloween bins is arguably more fun than when we bring up the Christmas bins 🧛🏼‍♂️🧟‍♀️👻🎃

#ellenforpresident PS I love Ellen so much, and guess what, we have very different beliefs, too. But I think she is a smart, funny, generous, caring human being.

Family traditions are very sacred to me now that I have a family of my own. Going to Tuttle’s over Fall Break is one of my favorites. If you followed us around today, you might wonder why, because there were some falls, some tears, some arguments, lost shoes, bugs, sweat, and some meltdowns but that’s real life. And these five people in these pictures with me are my all-time favorite humans to do real life with. I think I’ll keep em.

If you have a son older than nine months, please scroll past before reading the next line.... 🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑🛑 Kellen is the cutest, most handsome boy over the age of nine months in the entire world! In other news, his head is slowly but surely catching up with the rest of his body. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 Kali’s pictures will be here in 3-4 weeks because I’ve suddenly become the mom who’s terrible with details 🤦🏼‍♀️ What has become of me?!

Wishing #happybossday to my four bosses 👩🏼👧🏼👶🏼👦🏼 It’s weird having four bosses, especially when they are all younger than you with little to no experience. They yell at me a lot, are super demanding, and the pay sucks. But it’s the best job in the world and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!

This is the year I finally made a homemade Halloween costume! Kali wants to be a unicorn riding on a rainbow 🦄🌈 (I could not make this stuff up, friends.) ✨ I am NOT a crafty/DIY girl when it comes to costumes, clothes, etc. so needless to say, I have been on the struggle bus. Spray glue is in places I’m embarrassed to mention, I’ve had two fingernails rip off below the fingertips, and I’ve said many cuss words, but I’m honestly proud of where it’s at so far. So here I am, super proud and excited to show Kali. She walks in the door as I’m trying to contain my prideful smile. She takes one look at it, her smile fades to a frown, and she says to me “It’s not the right order of colors...and where’s the purple?” 🤦🏼‍♀️🙇🏼‍♀️

There’s few people I’d drive six hours to spend four hours with, and most of them live here, in Evansville 💜👶🏻👯‍♀️

We got the call in Evansville that Kellen’s team won the first game of the tournament, so we hopped in the car and rushed home for game two AND THE ROCKIES CRUSHED IT!!! Looks like he will be wearing his uniform to church tomorrow because from there it’s straight to game three. I love being a baseball mom!

We started the day by dedicating Jace to the Lord, and ended it with Kellen and coach Kevin being part of the Carmel Dad’s Club 3/4 grade Grand World Champions of the Entire Universe team! I may have made up that tournament name 🤷🏼‍♀️

My kids will always have an appreciation for nineties hip hop as long as I have air in my lungs 🙌🏽

People say we look alike. I want so badly to see it but I don’t. Either way, this little guy will always have a very special place in my heart.

Neil, I feel like everything changed for the better once you entered the picture. You bring out the best in Kyle, and in turn, it’s even changed our relationship with him. It’s like he is fully and completely himself now that he’s found you- and it’s affected my whole family. One of my favorite ways he’s been affected is as an uncle. He was already a great uncle, but it’s like my kids get twice the love with you as his husband. They all think you hung the moon, but Kellen seriously thinks you two are superheroes. (He’s already asked me to print this picture so he could put it on his wall.) 💙 Thank you for loving my kids as your own. Thank you for loving Kyle in a way that gave him the confidence to embrace his truth. Thank you for always making my (extended) family feel welcome in your home. You are one in a million. I’m blessed to know you and to call you my brother. Happy (belated) Birthday! We love you...like...a lot!

Jace is participating in his first fundraiser. He is selling rolls to pay for my tummy tuck. There are different cuts of rolls- he’s got chin rolls, thigh rolls, arm rolls, and belly rolls. {Honey butter sold separately} {Chin rolls pictured}

You make one silly mistake and you wait three extra weeks for school pictures. #mombrain Can we please talk about how Kali’s sweetness is so perfectly portrayed in this picture? And I know we aren’t supposed to tell little girls this too often so I’ll just tell you all. She’s so pretty 😍

Kali and I are supposed to be there with the boys but we bailed, and I have zero regrets as I type this from my warm, dry house in my sweatpants.

I’ve been learning more about frequencies lately, specifically how to raise your body’s frequency with essential oils, and I can’t get enough! You ready? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Every living thing, humans included, has a frequency. The average healthy body has a frequency ranging from 62-72 MHz. If our frequency dips below that, we start to feel under the weather 🤒 Here’s where it gets cool! Everything we come into contact with affects our frequency including the foods we eat, our interactions with people, and even the thoughts we fill our heads with 🤔 Fascinating, right?! I’ve always talked about people’s vibes, not even realizing it’s so true! Vibes are just short for VIBrations. Quit killing my vibe, man 🙅🏻‍♀️ I decided to dig in and research which essential oils raise our frequencies the most. Keep in mind ALL essential oils have a frequency, many of them have very high frequencies! This is just a short list. ✨✨✨ 🌱Idaho Blue Spruce 580MHz 🌱Northern Lights Black Spruce 500 🌱Rose 320 🌱Helichrysum 180 🌱Frankincense 147 🌱Lavender 118 🌱Chamomile 105 🌱Peppermint 78 Open your oils and use them, friends! Use them every day- diffuse them, apply them topically, whatever floats your boat! But consistent usage is key. You might not feel the immediate effects, but they are working hard, underneath the surface, to keep you well 🏨. Man this stuff gets me fired up! 🔥🔥🔥

Fast forward one year and I’m standing in front of the same three sleazy Halloween costumes, trying to figure out what to wear to Zumba. I bought these in my twenties, before kids and I need to burn them, but not before one last salsa 💃🏼 Picture 2: As you can see, I chose the pirate last year. For some reason, the people of Aldi thought it was strange to see a 31-week-pregnant, sleazy pirate shop for wine with her one-year-old. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Today’s Zumba was next-level fun! 🎃👻☠️ I’ve never caught onto the whole “tribe” thing. So call it whatever you will, but these are my people, and there are so many more than are in this picture (so tag me if you post some, ok 😻?) I love my town, but Carmel is anything but diverse...at least compared to my hometown. But this class is a beautiful melting pot of so many races, religions, genders, beliefs, abilities, and life experiences. That makes me love it so much more! In just this one class, I’ve got friends who are Christian, Muslim, Unitarian, Agnostic, (assuming many others but these are the ones I know for sure), American, Venezuelan, Jordanian, Mexican, Brazilian, Chinese, Korean, Palestinian, cancer-survivors, widows, parents, grandparents...I’m leaving out so many but you get my vibe. All that to say, when I’m in this class, I feel at home. I love my #zumba people.

We braved the elements 🌨 Just kidding. I sat at home and stuffed my face while Kevin took them trick or treating. Happy Halloween! 🧟‍♀️🧛🏼‍♂️🍭🍬

Now that @wwe Smackdown is on cable, our new Friday night tradition is to put the littles to bed and watch it with K2. (Jace is still rallying though.) As you can see, Kali can never hang through the whole thing, but she puts up a good fight. And she likes to join me and root against @realdanielbryan and get Kellen all riled up, so that’s always fun.

“Party on Wayne.” And, no, this wasn’t a Halloween costume. I dressed this way to go see the Bohemian Rhapsody premier...only nobody else dressed up like I thought. I felt a little Legally Blonde but I didn’t care.

It’s a great day to be a 👸🏼 Kali wasn’t feeling the paparazzi 😜

We are having friends over today, and I can’t remember when we had them over last. I’m in a phase of life where friendships have taken a back seat. I rarely initiate get togethers. If anyone has ghosted me, I don’t blame them. But true friends understand the phases of life and they wait for the tide to shift and then they come over...with buffalo chicken dip and beer 😹

Bad news is the @colts lost 😔 Good news is we ate some good food and busted out the 📸 We were talking about the Halloween where Nate, Kevin, Holly and I went trick or treating and we painted our faces like The Crow. We realized that was 22 years ago. Like what??? Now we are old and married and responsible for tiny humans...and starting our stories with “Remember way back when...” 👴🏻👵🏻

I started my day eating double chocolate chip muffins at school with my girl. It was so special! It was hard to have a conversation with her because we kept hearing “Hi Kali!” or friends would come over and hug her. It made my heart so full to see her get so much love from her friends. 💛👯‍♀️ Right now, during this life phase, Kali gets the least of my time and attention. It’s tough to admit that but it’s true. She does what she’s told. She’s good at school. She’s as self-sufficient as a first grader can be. It doesn’t make it ok though. I’m making a conscious effort to not let my squeaky wheels take my attention away from her. So today was a restart. From this point on, I’m going to do a much better job at pouring into her. Because she so very much deserves it. I love her so much.

These pictures were taken 90 days apart. Same room. Same lighting. No filters. I didn’t take the pictures intending to share. I was just super self conscious about that age spot (on the lower outside corner of my eye) and needed visuals to see if my new skincare methods were working. But after seeing the comparison I have to share. The age spot is almost gone, my skin is so much brighter, and the crows feet have lessened- all by switching to 100% natural skincare. There’s so many great brands out there! Just do your research. Get those nasty chemicals out of your house, friends! Use witch hazel as your toner. Use jojoba oil as your serum and/or moisturizer. Drink more water. Use organic products with no phthalates or parabens. Avoid the word “fragrance” like the plague. Wear mineral makeup. Be aware of endocrine disrupters. It DOES make a difference. It’s not only better for your skin but for your entire body.

Why does my baby look like a toddler? 😭 And why do I suddenly think it’s ok to go out in public in sweatpants? 😐

✅ 8:30 Kellen ⚽️ Game ✅ 11:00 Kali ⚽️ Game ❌12:00 Kellen ⚾️ Practice (we got about 20 minutes in before the ⛈ and I’m just fine with that) I swore I’d never be that mom who signs her kids up for all the things and look at me now, sitting here eating crow. Don’t tell anybody, but I kinda like it 🤫

The first baseball game of the fall ball season was a huge success! The Rockies killed it AND Kellen had an amazing attitude (which is huge for him)! This is the first time he’s been in a league with an umpire, where scores count, where players pitch, and they can steal bases. He got the first hit of the team (which ended up being a foul but it was a great hit), and he stole a couple bases including home! So proud of my son. I’ve never had so much fun watching him play! 💜⚾️💜⚾️💜⚾️

Any time spent with Tia is time well spent. My cup is full! PS It pays to go out to eat with a beautiful, single woman. Thanks for the freebies, Salvatore! 😂

For your viewing pleasure, I present to you ten super random pictures 🤷🏼‍♀️🤳 We are in a wild and crazy season of life- where Kevin’s and my adult plans go out the window and are replaced by practices, games and lessons- some of which are simultaneous ⚽️⚾️🥋 Where meal plans are replaced by Lunchables on the concrete in a random school parking lot 🧀 Where bedtimes are sometimes missed 😴This is where I become a super hands-on mom but an incredibly crappy friend 🔜👯‍♀️🍸 But one day all to soon, the kids will grow up and we will miss these days, so I’m going to embrace it and soak up every last drop, all while taking pictures of the most random things so I can remember it all 📸

Oh my heart! Watch until the end when she plays “Peek-a-boo”! 💕

I’m so glad I got to be a kid in the 80’s, because being a kid now is a whole different beast. It’s so hard watching our kiddos struggle- such a helpless feeling sometimes 😔 I was talking to another 3rd grade mom this afternoon about her son’s issues with anxiety at school, and I could relate all to well. We shared ideas about different oils to support big emotions. I got inspired to put on my lab coat and experiment 👩🏼‍🔬 When the kids got home, I decided to let them help me make a new roller. K2 both picked one oil each and I filled in the blanks. It took a few tries of adding a little more of this and that, but in the end, we came up with this scent that I would describe as calming yet empowering 🙂💪🏻 I put it on our forearms, feet, and spine. Try it and let me know what you think!
